Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Last January, 1,500 people protested outside a political fundraiser convened by the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch in Palm Springs, Calif. Weeks later, we saw Koch-funded front groups and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker mount a war against teachers and other public workers in Wisconsin.

Now, the Kochs are coming to Colorado! This Sunday through Tuesday they will host an invitation-only discussion between corporate CEOs and anti-worker politicians to plot a secret plan to raise tens of millions of dollars of corporate money to influence the 2012 elections. We learned about this meeting this week when Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell told the Richmond Times Dispatch he would be joining the strategy sessions. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and other prominent right-wing leaders have also dropped by these meetings in the past.

Stand with us to demand transparency and accountability!

These events will be nonviolent and family friendly. Please bring signs, but not ones mounted on sticks or anything that could be construed as a weapon.

Some sign suggestions would be “UnVail the Kochs”, “Corporations are not people”, “Koch + Thomas = Supreme Conflict”, “Reverse Citizens United”, “Money does not equal speech” and “Stop the War on the Middle Class.”

I realize this comes on short notice, and that’s just what the Koch brothers want. They’ve kept this event under wraps until now to prevent folks like you and me from showing up. Let’s not let them get away with it.
